Skill level

By now, most of us know that if we want to succeed in negotiations, we have to truly listen to the other party and show that we value their perspective.
It’s called validation.
Here are some top-ranking English expressions to help you boost these all-important validation skills, and emerge from your negotiation a winner:

*That’s right.
*I hear you.
*I see where you’re coming from (my personal favourite).
*That’s true.
*I understand.
*I see your point.

What are your top Validation picks?

(Ps – Try singing the Village People’s “Liberation” to yourself before walking into your next negotiation, as a catchy reminder to validate. Just replace “Liberation” with “Validation”. Easy!)
